230v 20 Amp Breaker
I want to run a 230v 1 phase 9 6 amp table saw.
230v 20 amp breaker. To run the saw is it enough to replace the 15amp breaker with a single pole 20amp breaker and wire a new outlet into it realizing the wiring needs to be compatible with 20amps. The suspicion is the pool is a better ground than my house main ground and it was feed back through my vs pump. I always prefer to keep it simple and err on the side of caution. The ansi certified and ul listed unit is rated for 120 240 vac and 10 000 air.

I thought maybe there was some rule that said it was ok based on the fact the line is dedicated or some other rule i m not aware of. I was constantly having ghost tripping of my 50 amp gfci non siemens breaker feeding the control panel. A 240 volt plug is the same as a 220 volt plug and it s for a larger appliance that needs more power than most household devices. I just don t understand why someone would attach 14 gauge wire to a 20 amp breaker.
