I would consider wiring all the outlets in the room that are on the same circuit with the 12 3 or 14 3.

At each outlet except the one furthest from the switch connect the hot side of the outlet to the switched hot via a red pigtail. The source for the circuit is at the switch and 2 wire cable runs to each receptacle outlet.
